This is a review of American Online Jobs where you can earn up to $237 a day! Isn’t that fantastic? This site claims to connect you with jobs you can do online and to train people with no experience to earn money from home.  So in this American Online Jobs review, I’ll explain why you should not waste your time here. What they really want you to do is sign up for their recommended survey sites. American Online Jobs Review

How Does American Online Jobs Work?

To get started here, you need to complete a very basic “pre-screening” questionnaire. This questionnaire only has 5 questions on it. The very first question asks you how you heard about American Online Jobs. There are four choices: Glassdoor, Indeed, Careerbuilder and Monster. These are all reputable sites yet I could not find any reference to American Online Jobs anywhere on these sites. The remaining questions are very basic–are you at least 18 years old? Do you own a computer or smartphone with Internet access? Can you follow detailed instructions? (That one cracked me up!) How do you wish to be paid? Are you ready to get started with the 15-minute application? Even when you try to fill in the form, your answers don’t register which can be quite confusing. To answer a question, you have to click a radio button. But when you advance to the next question and click on an answer, the item you checked above goes blank.

You are then instructed to watch a short video. The video is only 36 seconds long and it basically tells you to complete the questionnaire then sign up for survey sites. The video itself is quite amusing. In the 36 seconds all you get is someone telling you to complete the pre-screening questions, click the “Click here to apply now” button, and sign up for at least three survey sites. Yet they say it’s important to watch the video! You won’t discover any additional information from watching the video.

Video #2

This video shows you how to sign up to InboxDollars. Just for the record, InboxDollars is a survey site. But you don’t need to go through American Online Jobs to sign up for InboxDollars. You can do that all by yourself! Then you are told to enter your email address and wait for the confirmation email. Go to your email inbox and click the confirmation email link. Then you are told to “scroll around and complete survey offers.” Really? Like that isn’t blatantly obvious? Then you click Step 2 at the bottom. When you click “Step #2 CREATE YOUR FREE ACCOUNT,” you are directed to sign up to a survey site. In this case, Tesler. American Online Jobs Video 2 Depending on where you’re located when you create your account, you may see a different survey site to join. Really? Getting paid $237 an hour to test software? I’ve got some swampland in Florida you can buy cheap, too! LOL! Let’s get serious here for a minute. First of all, NEVER download software from an unknown source. That’s Internet Usage 101! But hey, if you made it this far, maybe you’ll be interested in the “BONUS” offers.

Bonus Offers

Don’t be fooled by the so-called bonus offers here. These offers are simply more of the same types of survey sites that include creating accounts with InboxDollars, Toluna, MySurvey, OpinionOutpost, SurveyVoices, Opinion City, and more. Thing is, you can sign up to these sites on your own. You don’t need to sign up through American Online Jobs.

Have You Heard of Bait and Switch?

In order to do a deep dive for this review, I took a look at the links for one of the the bonus offer survey sites. In this case, I hovered over the image for InboxDollars and the URL in the bottom left corner of my screen turned out to be tpmr.com/i/56519 which is TPM Rotator–not InboxDollars. Each image has the same link but with a different number at the end of the link. So I then went to tpmr.com to see what this site actually is. TPM Rotator is a site that gives you links that can be rotated to different sites. So the whole business of American Online Jobs is to redirect visitors to different websites. There are no jobs! American Online Jobs-No Jobs

So what does all this mean?

This is basically an affiliate marketing website. Not bad but a bit deceptive. This means that links on the American Online Jobs website can be randomized. So each time a visitor clicks on a link they can be directed to any number of different sites. American Online Jobs get paid each time a visitor signs up to a survey site through one of their rotator links.

Is that bad?

Maybe. So when I clicked on a few different links, I wasn’t sent to the survey site in the image. In one case, I was sent to a fake news page that advertised a weight loss product being promoted by Melissa McCarthy. See what I mean? Random! I think that American Online Jobs makes its money by getting visitors to set up accounts through their referral links. Again, not bad–just a little on the deceptive side.

So Where Are The Jobs?

Ok, this is a stretch but I’m going to go there. The “job” is promoting through “referral marketing.” Once you are a member of American Online Jobs, you can earn money by promoting links. This is not a job that pays by the hour. You get paid a commission when you make a sale. So essentially, you could work for weeks without making any money because you didn’t make any sales. So what are you promoting? You are promoting the same survey sites that you signed up for! Also, in order for you to earn money promoting these links, you have to remain active on these survey sites.

Is This a Good Opportunity For You?

In a word, NO. This site is not going to help you find a job. It will direct you to sign up to survey sites through their links. If you are looking for legitimate work you can do from home, you won’t find it here unless you enjoy getting paid peanuts for completing surveys.

Is American Online Jobs a Scam?

There are so many things wrong with this “offer” it’s hard to know where to begin. Let’s start with the complete LACK OF INFORMATION. There’s no information as to where this company is located, who owns it, or how long it’s been in business. No address or phone number. Nothing. Here’s another red flag. You don’t even know what you are signing up for when you complete the pre-screening questionnaire. Once you sign up for all the survey sites, you will be inundated with tons of email offers.

Final Thoughts

You are probably not going to make $237 a week here. And you need to know that there are no actual jobs here. The lessons and training here is simply to teach you how to use Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube and Craigslist to put up links. Some of this training you will have to pay for. So you could be out of pocket before you make a penny. There are much better ways to make money working from home. And not all of them are scams. 1. Companies that usually claim that you can make over $100 daily are mostly scams or platforms that one needs to be skeptical about. No company is willing to pay anyone a single dime just for doing a survey without having any upsells or things that you’ll need to buy/download to achieve said thing. Not to mention that most surveys aren’t available outside of the US.

  2. 3. I have heard about this program but had done no research.  As an affiliate marketer, I am always looking for something to add to my websites.  I am concerned, after reading your review, that opening a link which leads to a random site might not be good for the “honesty” quotient of my website.  After a number of years, I am trust and people check out things I display.  Thanks for the review.  I think you have helped me review something that might do harm to my website.

  4. hello, it is a great and nice feeling to know that someone will create a great website like this and also create a write up on an article like this. i do not like it when something seems too good to be true. i already had my doubts about this platform before now and you have confirmed it.
