So you’re looking for a way to make some extra money with a flexible schedule? You are not alone in that regard. If health and fitness are important to you, finding a legitimate multi-level marketing (MLM) company can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. There seem to be hundreds of these MLM companies making bold claims about how much money you can make in just a few hours a week. In this Le-Vel MLM review, we’ll take a look at what it takes to actually make money here. It’s probably not the amazing business opportunity you were hoping for.

Le-Vel Mlm Review

What is Le-Vel MLM?

Le-Vel is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company founded in 2013 by Paul Gravette and Jason Camper. The company is headquartered in Frisco, Texas.

They manufacture health and wellness products that are sold under the Thrive brand. These health supplements include products for weight management, vitamins and minerals, joint function support, cognitive performance and lean muscle support, among others. The products are aimed at anyone who wants good health, including family packages.

Le-Vel had reported 2020 sales of $420 million and they have more than 850,000 Brand Promoters worldwide.

Are Le-Vel Products Worth Their Price?

One of the products is Thrive Experience, which is part of a plan to help people achieve peak performance and maintain their weight. It contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, plant extracts and amino acids.

Thrive Premium Lifestyle capsules are each a separate formula for men and women. The 14-day supply that includes Lifestyle Capsules, Lifestyle Shakes, and DFTs. It’s a daily 3-step regimen. The capsules are taken in the morning, a shake is taken at lunch and the Thrive Patch is applied in the afternoon for 24 hours.

It is claimed that the DFT patch, in conjunction with the capsules and shakes, helps to control weight. There’s been no evidence that the DFT patch helps with weight loss.

It’s important to note that Le-Vel/Thrive makes it clear in their Policies and Procedures that:

“Le-Vel’s products are not intended to help, treat, cure, mitigate, or diagnose any type of disease or disorder. Promoters understand that they will not say directly or indirectly that any Le-Vel product is FDA approved, or discuss or suggest that any diagnosis, evaluation, prognosis, description, treatment, therapy, or management or remedy of illness, ailment or disease can be improved by consumption or application of Le-Vel products. Promoters understand that Le-Vel products are not offered, intended or considered as medicinal treatment of any disorder or disease, either mental or physical.”

If you break this offer down, it amounts to a little over $7 per day. For a 2-week program, this might be too expensive for the average customer.

Product Reviews

You’ll find many great Thrive product reviews from brand promoters. But if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find customers who have had bad experiences with these products. Some customers reported skin rashes and abdominal problems. Some were so sick they had to go to the hospital. (See FDA and TINA information below.)

The Le-Vel Opportunity

To become a Brand Promoter, you must be sponsored by a recommending Brand Promoter. Next, you need to qualify. This means you need to sell 100PV (Personal Volume) in a month. To remain active, you must continue to sell 100PV per month. 100PV is equal to $100.

Your sponsor will train you on policies and procedures, product information, compensation, sales strategies, business practices, and ethical business conduct.

Products can be promoted on the official website and personal social media accounts. Products may also be displayed at trade shows, but must be pre-approved.

To move up the ladder, recruit others to join your team. You will receive a percentage of all sales generated by your team.

How Much Does It Cost To Join Le-Vel?

Le-Vel likes to brag that there are no fees if you become a Brand Promoter. But the “enrollment packages” suggest otherwise. So which is it?

Le-Vel Mlm Review - Starter Kits

As you can see above, there are three different kits you can buy. One thing you should not forget is the hidden costs when you join such companies. Hidden costs are costs like gas, phone calls, maintaining your car, posting ads on social media, and more. None of these costs are recoverable.

Can You Make Money With Le-Vel

As a Brand Promoter, you earn money from your own sales as well as from the sales of the members of your team. According to the compensation plan below, you earn 20% commissions on your sales. For everyone in the first level of your downline, you earn 12% on their sales and so on down the line.

The starter kits alone will cost you at least $200. Then you need to make $200 in sales in the first month to break even. Is that feasible for you?

Le-Vel Mlm Review - Autoship Gifts

You can get free products if you and two customers sign up for automatic monthly shipments (autoship). As long as customers stay on autoship, you continue to get free products. But if they cancel, your free products disappear. But that’s not real currency. It’s just free products. The autoship option can be a good selling point to your customers.

Pros

Weekly Pay: Brand Promoters are paid commissions weekly and residual income is paid monthly.

Autoship Gifts: Qualifying customers can take advantage of the autoship option where  they can earn discounts and free gifts. This may help you sell the products.

No Experience Necessary: all training is provided by your sponsor.

Cons

Customer Complaints: According to the BBB (Better Business Bureau), there are many complaints from customers who were billed for products after they canceled their autoshipments; customers who were signed up without their knowledge; and harmful chemicals in some of the products that resulted in hospitalization.

Poor Customer Service: many complaints from customers who contacted Customer Service and were not satisfied with the outcome. Customers who requested additional information about specific ingredients in the products received slow or no response from the company.

No FDA Approval: the FDA is not required to test or approve dietary products. Customers use these products at their own risk. The FDA only monitors the products after they are on the market.

According to TINA (truthinadvertising.org), the FDA has received reports of adverse reactions to Thrive products, including headaches, abdominal pain and elevated blood pressure. Three of the 16 reports required hospitalization or emergency room visits.

Is Le-Vel a Scam?

I cannot say that Le-Vel is a direct sales scam. It’s another multi-level marketing company that relies on representatives to sell products but it is not any sort of illegal pyramid scheme. They offer representatives a small commission and the rest of the money goes to the company. That’s why MLMs are so successful. They are built on the backs of their representatives.

Final Thoughts

Working for MLMs is really a race to the bottom. You will spend a lot more money than you take in. And the business model seems to be designed that way for a reason. The company has all the advantages. You can only really make money with MLMs if you put your heart and soul into it.
