Pink Zebra Mlm Review - Is It Any Good?

What is Pink Zebra MLM?

Pink Zebra is an MLM ( multi-level marketing (MLM) company, also known as a direct sales company. It’s the new buzzword for multi-level marketing companies, in case you didn’t know.

Pink Zebra was founded by Tom and Kelly Gaines. The company is headquartered in Houston, TX. Products include candles, diffusers, simmer pots, fragrance diffusers, kitchen products and spa candles.

Are Pink Zebra Products Worth Their Price?

The products range from inexpensive to a little pricey, depending on the type of product. For example, the Penguin Simmer Pot Bundle (pictured below) is part of a limited edition that includes the Simmer Pot and the 3.75 oz. Berries & Cream Sprinkles jar. The sprinkles are made of wax and melt in the pot to give off a fragrant aroma.

There are other similar products that are less expensive. For example, you can find similar wax simmer pots on Amazon that are listed for $16.99 and up.

I’ve scoured the internet for some reviews of their products and have found a few screenshots which I will share below. The one that really stood out though is the following Facebook post right from the Pink Zebra Facebook page:

Pros of Pink Zebra

Website included: While you will have to pay a website fee after the first month, having a website gives you more customer exposure. Once you have paying customers, they can order through your website portal and you will receive a commission on all product sales.

Lots of Festive Products: There are a variety of candles and scented products that revolve around holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Not Just For Parties: One thing that makes Pink Zebra a little different is that Consultants can sell products at fairs, expos, exhibitions and other temporary retail events.

Set Your Own Schedule: This is one of the perks of this type of job. You do not work for the company. You are a consultant and set your own schedule.

Cons of Pink Zebra

Expensive Starter Kit: Before you have made even a single sale, you are already charged at least $129 for the basic starter kit. Let us hope you can sell $129 worth of merchandise to cover the cost.

BBB Complaints: According to the BBB (Better Business Bureau), customer complaints include the following: (1) poor customer service for new Consultants, (2) shipping problems, and (3) inferior products.

Website Fees: As a Consultant you are provided with a website that is free for the first month only. After that, you will have to pay $11.95 per month to keep your website available whether you sell products or not.

You Pay Shipping and Taxes: Taxes are a given, of course. You have to pay state taxes on your orders. Also, you will bear the shipping costs for orders under $50. For orders over $50, shipping is free.

Is Pink Zebra A Scam?

It helps if you are well connected and do not have to have your own website. This way you can save some money every month. It may not have be a scam, but it takes a lot of work to make decent money.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, it takes a special kind of person to make these types of jobs work. You need to be a confident, outgoing person who likes to hustle. It’s just not for everyone. Unfortunately, you probably will not make as much money as you hope to.

It’s common to get burned out on sales jobs like this. You end up spending a lot of your personal time chasing sales for very little pay.

  1. I had to smile when I saw the name Pink Zebra as I cannot see anybody taking a brand seriously with a name like Pink Zebra. Just looking at the negative reviews, will make me run the opposite direction if I am approached to buy Pink Zebra products.

Having to pay to join a MLM company in the form of buying a starter kit, means that you are not only limited to selling their products, but you actually have to pay them to do so. I cannot recommend the MLM business model to anybody, never-mind the product you are selling.
