Amazing.com Review - The (NOT So) Amazing Selling Machine?

If you are deciding how to make money online, you may be considering a number of methods. Methods like affiliate marketing, ebooks, selling your own products online, and blogging. There are many online courses that teach all of this. In this Amazing.com review, we'll take a look at how this offer works and if you can be successful at it. Spoiler Alert: it will set you back some serious cash. 

What Is Amazing.com?

Amazing.com was co-founded in 2012 by Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback. Both of these gentlemen have built their own fortune.

Matt Clark was a former energy trading analyst and has been featured on Forbes, CNBC, and Entrepreneur.com before he started Amazing.com.

Jason Katzenback launched his first online membership training course in 2005. Before that, he created ebooks and was pretty successful with that, too. Then he met Matt Clark in 2011 and the rest is history.

What makes this product different? First of all, this isn't a course that teaches you how to be a blogger. This course focuses on teaching you how to set up an ecommerce business using Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). It's not for beginners who want to learn how to make money online. There's a substantial upfront investment here.

The landing page seems credible. They have worked with some pretty high-profile people as you can see below. And because the people in question are such a diverse mix, it has to be true, right?  Well.. not so fast. Keep reading.

How Does Amazing.com Work?

The product we are reviewing from the Amazing.com site is called the Amazing Selling Machine. This is a 12-step training program designed to help you sell your products on Amazon using FBA.

Before we continue, we should probably talk about what FBA is exactly. FBA stands for "fulfillment by Amazon." It's a storage and shipping service provided by Amazon that helps businesses sell their products. For example, if you have a business that sells paper straws, you can send them to an Amazon fulfillment center and have the Physical Products sold and shipped through Amazon. Amazon does all the work. You pay the storage and shipping costs.

Who Is Amazing.com For?

This particular product is targeted specifically to people who want to build an e-commerce business using the fulfillment service of Amazon. There are a lot of startup costs associated with this type of business. The landing page says that even beginners can succeed. But because of the costs associated with this product, I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. 

How Much Does Amazing.com Cost?

This is going to set you back some serious money. How does $4,997 sound? If you can't make the payment all at once, you can use the installment plan. The installment plan allows you to make six payments of $997. If you choose the installment plan, you'll be overpaying by $985. 

But that's not the only cost. You also have to pay Amazon for shipping and storage fees. The fees you pay will depend on the type of product(s) you choose and the plan you choose. So you will need substantial startup money to use this system.

Added Expenses: There are some heavy added expenses here. You have to buy inventory and pay for Amazon to store your Physical Products. You also have to pay the fees to ship your products to the Amazon Fulfillment Center. And let's not forget the cost of ads placed on Amazon for your products.

No Discounts: This is a pretty expensive product. Unfortunately, there are no discounts available.

Slow to Refund: According to my research and the BBB (Better Business Bureau), anyone who has requested a refund from customer service, has been met with a brick wall. The only people that seem to get their money back are the people who threaten lawsuits or bad reviews. 

Can You Make Money With Amazing.com?

Before you make any money with this course, you'll be putting out a lot of money first. It will take some time before you break even. There are a lot of extra costs here and your profit margin will be pretty slim considering you are selling physical products. If building an ecommerce business is a serious goal for you, perhaps this will work for you. As long as you don't mind parting with over five grand. 

Is Amazing.com a Scam?

Let's not sugarcoat this one. There are a few red flags here. The landing page seems to make a lot of promises it probably can't keep. And according to the BBB, they have a few unhappy customers. That would be a red flag to me. 

Another red flag is that the price is not disclosed on the landing page. I really had to do some digging to find the price. What they want you to do is enter in your name and email address. Then you pick a time to sit in on a webinar. I'm sure that's where they tell you how great it is and give a sales pitch.

Final Thoughts

There has to be an easier way, right? I mean, this product requires you have a pretty substantial nest egg to draw from. This is not a product I could recommend for beginners or even experienced bloggers. It's for people who want to have an e-commerce business selling products that they don't have to store and ship.
